Morzine

Morzine is a traditional market town, located in the Haute-Savoie area of the Rhone-Alpes region in eastern France. Some 40 years ago a group of friends dreamed of creating a linked ski area within France and Switzerland and soon after the Portes du Soleil was born: a winter playground comprising of 12 resorts, 2 countries and 650km of glorious pistes! The Portes du Soleil's summits and valleys beg to be explored.

Unlike many resorts, Morzine has kept the feel of an authentic Savoyade village. The tourist office in the town describes it as the 'Village of Charm' and it's easy to see why. Morzine is a buzzing town, offering plenty to satisfy all tastes, whilst retaining its alpine charm and traditional French character.
